I have something quick I want to say to you today: it's the big picture that counts. Many of you have been . . .
praying for a loved one for a long time, or
trusting God for a healing, or
seeking God for your finances, or
trying to stay upbeat about all the bad news, or
searching for God's will in a certain situation.
What you see is nothing. What you hear is silence. What you feel is discouragement.
But I'm here to remind you that God is still on the throne. He has heard every one of your prayers. He's not only all powerful (omipotent), but He's everywhere working on everything all the time (omnipresent.) While you see but a part of the picture, He sees the design in its completion.
So "let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart" (Gal. 6:9).
Why? Because He's up to something far bigger than you or I can even imagine. His answer is so much better than we can think or ask and it's about so much more than we can see with the naked eye:
"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight in glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are not seen are eternal" 2 Cor. 4:17-18
Just call me your cheerleader today, just reminding you to not give up and to keep your eyes on the eternal. After all, it's the big picture that counts.
